The harvest

We currently harvest LABRADOR Tea on Haida Gwaii and in the Prince Rupert area or Northern B.C. The kelp flakes that are in the body and face wash are sustainably harvested on Haida Gwaii by Dafne Romero of North Pacific Kelp. This season we're adding our own  rosehip oil and seaweed extracts! Our new products for release are a Pacific Ocean Sea Salt body scrub that contains salt hand harvested by the Vancouver Island Salt Company! It contains over 30 trace ocean minerals and feels amazing on your skin!! We've also got a great face mask that's made with glacial marine clay that's collected in the North Pacific/Great Bear Rainforest. It turns your face a cool , pale moss green! ( Check out the particulars about it in the products section as it's really an incredible mask! 

Sustainability and making a difference

Being from the Northwest Rainforest, we share a deep passion for the land and the ocean around us.  During the summer of 2016 we  harvested at Lelu Island  and got to meet  the people who working hard to protect Lelu Island and Flora Banks from being decimated by the Petronas LNG Terminal. Fortunately, the threat of this development seems to have subsided for the time being. It was a profound experience meeting people who were willing to stand up and be the single voice, drawing attention to a project that could cause irreparable damage to the wild salmon runs in the Skeena River. 

Our takeaway from visiting and harvesting at Lelu Island, is that we all need to engage and use our voice. It's hard; but we need to stand up and shout for our little blue planet!

We're working hard at ensuring that we work hard at Wild by harvesting carefully in the areas we go to. We do things like only take a few leaves from the plants, we don't take the sprouting tops..... silly little things that ultimately make a difference. 

We're honored to work with like minded businesses and people who are really engaged and coming up with bright ideas for change. It's great and it's inspiring . We really want to create a great experience for you! If you've bought any of the Wild products and you don't love them, the product is damaged, or you have any reasonable issues we will reimburse you for the product.  We strive to price our products ethically, and we're not going to  try to influence you with a complicated "word salad" about the attributes of the product and what it will do. Our products are basic; they clean, they moisturize and do everything that we want skincare products to do for us. We think we've got a great combination of plants that we believe are the best of the best for your skin. The big deal for us is that they're from here -  the West Coast and they're awesome!!!
