What inspired Storm Force 10?

We named both Storm Force 10 and Storm Force 8 after the Beaufort Scale that measures wind speed on the ocean. In the Great Bear Rainforest, on the Northwest Coast of B.C, wind speed factors into our lives and what we’re doing every day. We have huge storms that blow in off the Pacific Ocean during the fall and winter. The summer winds can carry fog in and can transform the coast into a world of terrifying medieval mystery or carress the beaches and forests with the warmth of a summer ocean breeze within minutes.

You just never know what’s next. It’s nature at its best - captivating and complicated. Just like Storm Force 10!
